❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Environmental Intelligence Hub?
Environmental Intelligence Hub is a comprehensive environmental monitoring platform that combines real-time weather data, air quality index tracking, and global earthquake monitoring. It provides travelers, researchers, and concerned citizens with accurate environmental information for any location worldwide.
How is the Air Quality Index (AQI) calculated?
The AQI is calculated based on the concentration of five major pollutants: ground-level ozone, particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. Each pollutant is measured and converted to a standardized index value. The highest index value among all pollutants becomes the reported AQI. We use EPA (US) and WHO standards for our calculations.
Where does the earthquake data come from?
Our earthquake data is sourced from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), and various national seismic networks. We aggregate data from over 150 seismic stations worldwide to provide near real-time earthquake detection and reporting.
How often is the weather data updated?
Weather data is updated every 10-15 minutes for current conditions and every 6 hours for forecast data. Our 7-day forecast is generated using multiple meteorological models including GFS, ECMWF, and local weather services to provide the most accurate predictions possible.
Can I use this data for research or commercial purposes?
All data displayed on Environmental Intelligence Hub is sourced from publicly available government and scientific databases. While the data itself is public domain, we recommend reviewing the specific terms of use for USGS, EPA, and other data providers. For commercial use, please contact us for API access and licensing options.

About Environmental Intelligence Hub

Environmental Intelligence Hub was created to address the growing need for accessible, real-time environmental data. Climate change, air pollution, and natural disasters affect billions of people worldwide - yet environmental data is often scattered across multiple platforms and difficult to interpret.

We consolidate weather forecasts, air quality monitoring, and seismic activity tracking into one intuitive dashboard. Our mission is to empower individuals, communities, and organizations with the environmental intelligence they need to make informed decisions about health, travel, and safety.

Data sources include the National Weather Service (NWS), US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), US Geological Survey (USGS), European Environment Agency, World Air Quality Index project, and various international meteorological and seismic organizations. All data is updated continuously to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
